Mr. Lum received his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. degree in Economics and Legal Studies. He has represented self-insured employers, uninsured employers, and insurance carriers as a workers’ compensation defense attorney since 2017. Previously, Mr. Lum had acquired several years of experience in consumer class actions involving state consumer protection statutes and public interest law through the prosecution of cases against companies that caused harm to consumers and the environment. While attending Loyola Law school, he was a staff member of the International and Comparative Law Review and assisted with felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile court matters at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s office as a law clerk. Mr. Lum is admitted to practice in all California state courts and the United States District Court for Northern and Central Districts of California. He likes to garden, visit nurseries in search of interesting plants, and has an expansive collection of tiki mugs.
