Ms. Shibata graduated cum laude from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, where she was on the dean’s list and earned Witkin Awards for excellence in Community Property, Real Property, and Family Law.

She has extensive workers’ compensation experience, having worked for applicants’ attorneys since 1998 as a paralegal, associate, then partner at her prior firm.

Ms. Shibata’s interests include skiing, cycling on her “red dragon” and traveling. She is fluent in American Sign Language.
